This whole album is so insane, thanks tate for the record lolz, they are really bringing back the screamo sound from the 90s and early 00s and i just love it, there are so many screamo/emo bands that released music in 2023 and not many capture that original sound but man do these kids rock.
2: OLTH - every day is sOmeOnes speciaL day

super insane mathy hardcore kittencore nyc screamo fuck you, now this band is something else, Their vocals are so good and so kittencore (super high pitch screechy screams) I really dont understand how they do it, i cant do vocals that high for the life of me and i just think its so sick i could really listen to this release all dayyyy luv luv luv this album.
3: Since My Beloved - One Day Away
my favorite song - My Heartache is Measured by the acre
metalcore screamo!!! this ep is super cool i love the metalcore stuff i want to see this band live so bad i heard they go absolutely ham.
4: Letsmakenothinghappen - This town ain't big enough for the two of us! (split)
Favorite song - you like samurai swords, i like baseball
Their side of this split is so good, these are my good friends and i love all of them and their music, miguel's vocals are so insanely good, i miss all of them as they live in another state :/ I dont really enjoy the other side of this split but letsmakenothinghappens side is so good even though its only 2 songs.
5: Gap year - Split with koshe

This is like a emo rock mixed with screamo a little bit, gap years sound is very cool and to me its unique to them, seeing them live was really cool they are all super nice guys, i remember i went to the skate park the next day after their show and they are all there and i met all the dudes and they are super kind and friendly.
There is so much emo/screamo music that came out this year its really cool to see this scene get revived and i'm glad to be a part of it, here are honorable mentions that i also enjoy that came out this year.
